Thoughts : Stop Praying and Start Acting.

This beautiful mosque in Dubai made me speculate on religion and also provoked a question inside of me.

A lot of us Muslims pray, we pray because we want to get closer to god and we fear to be ‘barbecued’ in the blazing fires of hell. We commit to charity because we are told to do so as it is a pillar of Islam. Now, I love God. I love God because I know he loves me as he is giving me a chance everyday to redeem myself from my past miseries. But how can you pray and have an evil heart that wishes bad on someone? That becomes jealous of someone else’s happiness?

How can you pray when you have a heart that is so cruel and evil?

How do you expect on getting admittance to even a world such as heaven after your death if you lack empathy? Religion teaches us to do good for our humans. It tries to teach you empathy by loving god and doing everything for god. Learn to empathize. Learn to have a kind heart, if you have a cold heart then you can always pray to god that you try to have one or try to help people in any form which will eventually develop you to have a loving heart. Small steps always make a big role in learning empathy.

Remember that, Prayer is not enough.

Thoughts : Learning never Ceases

A quick note on Learning :

When you feed yourself with love for knowledge, you will realize a lot of things that were a mystery to you in the past and this self realization creates growth and a fire for learning! A fire for more knowledge!

Remember that Learning never ceases and along with that your spiritual growth will never stop either so keep learning!

Thoughts : Analogy of Empty Chairs with Human Anticipation – Waiting

In the midst of the gloomy blue light , I saw an open bench with chairs and tables. I felt a sense of nostalgia and you may ask why? Well, the empty chairs depicts a sense of waiting. Waiting of who? Now that depends upon how you look at it. Empty chairs may represent a long waiting for a dear friend or maybe a lover or even a family. It may represent a sense of festivity, socializing with your loved ones as you sit next to each other and talk about your day but it may also represent a sense of dismay. A sense of brokenness without any repair if you’re just waiting for someone and that someone doesn’t come along.

So I ask you to not wait for anyone, enjoy your own company.

Meanwhile, you always have your family to cherish. But always remember to enjoy your solitude light and do what you enjoy until that special friend or a lover comes along.

Thoughts : Darkness into light

Sometimes I stay in the darkness, in a darkness filled with terror and horror. A darkness that takes away the daylight of my soul and I become dismayed with everything. I begin to hate myself. Thoughts of death approaches me as life feels worthless but then…

I see a window.

I identify myself with the window. A window that keeps showing me the pathway of light. A window that tells me that there is a way out.

I realize that the darkness is inside my head. It is me. My life is filled with love and opportunities. Begin today

Thoughts : Numbers and Human Contradiction

We calculate our worth with numbers such as 2 or 9 but even when we calculate our worth through our numbers, we are a Contradiction. How? Well a little kid that secures the second place is applauded and congratulated more than the kid that secures the ninth place. Now you will ask me how are we a contradiction? Well a person with 2 dollars is considered less wealthy than the person with 9 dollars.

Does that make sense to you?

Aren’t we funny? Aren’t we all funny as humans? We built this system of being chained up and then we end up following the system that has chained us up. We fail to recognize the value and worth of talents and people in general.  Food for thought but then again, it’s just a debatable topic that can be visited and spoken about again and again…without any result in the end.

We built this system of freedom through rules. We built it. Nobody else but us.

Thoughts : RIP Iconic legend – George Michael

“I am so depressed, I grew up listening to his music”, my mother lamented when she heard that George Michael Passed away.

George Michael was a legendary Icon in many ways, a gay-rights activist and his music stirred millions of fans!

He was blessed with fine looks and an artistic musical voice , not many have that kind of ability – (well, not like the singers of the present day at least)

May his soul rest in peace, a legendary musician has passed away that had stirred the hearts of many people through his artistry work!
